Technical equipment
The Electrotechnical Testing Institute is:
- the authorized body nominated by the Czech Ministry of Financee
- the accredited Inspection Body no. 4037 for inspections of gambling slot machines and technical equipment for the operation of betting games, incl. supplementary equipment
- the accredited testing laboratory no. 1056 for tests of electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility and the properties of technical equipment
- the institute qualified to conduct expert activities in the scope of expert opinions for gambling slot machines and technical equipment for the operation of betting games and lotteries, incl. accompanying equipment in terms of their technical capacity (hardware) and programs (software)
For the ability to obtain authorization to operate gambling slot machines in the Czech Rep. we offer:
- expert evaluation and certification of the operability of technical equipment / systems for the operation of lotteries and other similar games (TE)
- Certification of the TE model and games implemented in TE
- Issue of an Inspection Report for TE and an Inspection Report for individual games implemented in TE
- Issue of an Inspection Certificate for TE and an Inspection Certificate for individual games implemented in TE
- Issue of a Certificate of Operability of TE and Printouts from the Certificate of Operability of TE, Registration marks for TE
Why use EZÚ services for evaluation and certification?
- Guarantee of impartial verification of compliance with legislative requirements for TE hardware and software
- The manufacturer or importer has the basis for the issue of an EU Declaration of Conformity
- To make the manufacturer’s position easier when checked by supervisory bodies.
- The operator has a Certificate of Operability of TE, incl. Printouts from the Certificate of Operability of TE, Registration Marks of TE – basic documents for the potential approval of TE operation by approving authorities and for authorities authorized to conduct state supervision of lotteries and other similar games

Products are introduced to the market using the system of evaluation of conformity of products in accordance with Act no. 90/2016 Coll.. as amended, and related Government Directives:Government Directive no. 118/2016 Coll.defining technical requirements for low-voltage electric equipment.
Government Directive no. 117/2016 Coll. on technical requirements for products in terms of their electromagnetic compatibility.
Government Directive no. 481/2012 Coll. on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electric and electronic equipment.
To operate gambling slot machines and technical equipment and systems for lotteries and other similar games in the Czech Republic, the requirements of the following regulations must be met:Slot machines – Act no. 202/1990 Coll. on Lotteries and other similar games, as amended, on Lotteries and other similar games, as amended and Czech Ministry of Finance no. 223/1993 Coll. on Gambling Machines, as amended TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT – Act no. 202/1990 Coll. on Lotteries and other similar games, as amended, and for:
